The Great Plains Regional Junior Science and Humanities Symposium
Challenge and Engage
Students in STEM Research
The Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS) is an established national program
funded by the U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force as part of the Army Education Outreach
Program and hosted by the National Science Teaching Association. Individual students
(grades 9-12) who have conducted original research in a STEM field compete for scholarships
and recognition by presenting their original research to a panel of highly qualified
judges and an audience of their peers.
