Meet the 2025-2026 Team!
President
I would be a good candidate for this position because I am willing and ready to help others and myself to be more involved with the Honors College. I want to be able to showcase my passion for academics and community as a whole, and I think this would be a wonderful opportunity. I think I would be able to provide new and fresh ideas in order to try and accumulate more feedback for the Honors College itself. I am ready to put my all into this leadership position and work with others to create a happy, healthy environment that others want to be a part of. This opportunity is one I just can't pass up, and I hope my desire and passion for the position is apparent and reflected.
Vice President
I am a great candidate for an HCSA position because I am passionate about serving the honors community and helping connect students through meaningful events. As a McKnight Scholar and honors student, I prioritize academic excellence, but I also value being involved outside the classroom. From volunteering with STEM outreach initiatives to serving on SGA committees and working live events across the nation, I have developed strong communication and leadership skills that I would love to bring to HCSA. I am excited about the opportunity to help represent and support my fellow honors students.
Secretary
I believe I would be a strong candidate for the secretary position because my previous leadership roles have directly prepared me for the responsibilities involved! As Vice President of Finance for my sorority for two years, I managed budget of $300,000 to $1.2 million, created detailed financial plans, and communicated regularly with members—giving me a strong foundation in record keeping and organization. While serving as Secretary for both Global Medical Brigades and Students of Osteopathic Rural Medicine, I gained hands-on experience scheduling meetings, recording detailed minutes, and coordinating events with other organizations. These roles sharpened my ability to keep accurate records, track attendance, and facilitate communication between members. Additionally, as a Ferguson College of Agriculture Representative on the University Honors Council, I’ve honed my presentation and note-taking skills at both local and national conferences, where I represent the university. I’m organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing the behind-the-scenes logistics that aid an organization run smoothly—all of which make me well-prepared to take on the responsibilities of secretary if I were to be selected.
Social Media Chair
I believe I would be a good candidate for this position because of my previous experience involving social media management and my ideas for the college moving forward. For this past year, I have been on the marketing team over at CEAT Student Council, and that has allowed me to get familiar with many tools I believe would be utilized in this position, such as Canva. I also believe I would like to get more people to events and play a part in hearing what the students would like to attend. The effectiveness of communication between the ones organizing and the student body is crucial, and I would make that run as smoothly as possible while being engaging. I would consider myself to be very receptive to change, so if there is anything that the college population believes could be changed, I would be happy to consider this and take those ideas into account moving forward. I would be a tool for the students, because at the end of the day, all of the events and college resources are for us, and who wants to waste their time when no one asks you want you would like. Thank you, and Go Pokes!
