Active Honors College students enjoy exclusive access to the honors study lounge and
computer lab in the basement of historic Old Central, a room that served as the Chemistry
lab at Oklahoma A&M College in the 1890s. Twelve computer workstations are available
for student use and require an honors designation on the students' OSU ID to access
them. Free printing is available for academic purposes, and the entire Old Central
building is wi-fi enabled.
Our students appreciate that the honors lounge is a quiet place to work and study,
tucked away on the corner of campus. Hours for the lounge and lab are 8:00-5:00, Monday
through Friday. Students are also able to gain 24 hour access to this study space
by requesting a uniquely coded key fob.
Student Activity Room
The honors student activity room is also located in the basement of Old Central, next
to the lounge and computer lab. This room is intended to serve as a hub for student
activity by providing a space for organizational gatherings or collaborative projects.
On one day you may find the Honors College Student Association holding a meeting and
the next you may find a team of students working on a creative solution to an Odyssey
of the Mind competition problem.
