It was one of the most life-changing experiences I've ever had and it really challenged me to become a well-rounded employee. Plus, when I wasn't working and providing excellent guest service, I got to hang out with some of the coolest mice around and end my days with fireworks in the parks. I wouldn't have made it into this highly competitive internship without the skills learned during my time at OSU and in the Honors College."

When Josh Anadu's not on the track or in the lab, he’s promoting science literacy as well as inclusivity in field research and outdoor recreational activities. He creates accessible models to help people better understand climate change, has a Youtube channel dedicated to science education and is a sought-after speaker.

Honors student Mikayla Doty rocks it on and off the field, both as a member of the OSU Marching Band and in the lab for her Honors add-on "DNA Barcoding."

Katelyn Powell is a member of OSU's High Power Rocketry Team, which has participated in both national and international competitions. Their rocket was painted to show off their school spirit at the LDRS 38, an event where hundreds of people launch rockets.She also competed in NASA's Micro-g NExT Challenge. Katelyn and the team traveled to the Johnson Space Center to test out their designed tool at the NBL. While there, she got to try on a pair of EVA gloves like those used by astronauts for testing.

Tiffany Thurmond served as an intern in the Real Property Administration department at ConocoPhillips.

Karen Weckler explored waterfalls and Phoebe Austerman (pictured above) took in the city views when they traveled to Grenada with Honors Associate Dean, Dr. Richard Frohock, for his international Island as Text Honors seminar course.

Heather Hoffmann served as an intern at Bald Head Island Conservancy in North Carolina, where she spent the summer rehabilitating sea turtles.

Wendy Lau Wong spent the summer interning as an Industrial Engineer at Triumph Aerostructures where she learned about building the wings for a private jet. She gained valuable experience doing time studies, lean assessments, and manufacturing optimization.

Amber Livingston served as a Marketing and Special Events Intern with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Honors students visited Stonehenge and other well-known sites in the United Kingdom during their study abroad summer course.

Makenna Paniel was assigned to the Cheyenne, OK USDA Farm Service Center for her Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) Pathways Student Internship. She helped install the Tribal Soil Climate Analysis Network (TSCAN) in Reydon, Oklahoma. Here, she hangs paraffin-dipped soil clods to dry as part of the process to test the bulk density of the soil.

Wade Yoder interned in Washington D.C. for Senator Cory Gardner, from his home district in Colorado.
