Priority Enrollment
Active participants in the Honors College enjoy priority enrollment privileges beginning with enrollment for the second semester. Honors College students enroll the same day as graduate students for the next semester. For freshmen, this means they will enroll about six weeks before other freshmen on campus.
Priority enrollment provides students with enough flexibility in their schedules to allow for honors courses (which may only have one or two sections available at key meeting times). When an honors student logs in to register for classes, every course will be available and it should be relatively easy to get the classes needed at the desired time offerings. This is particularly useful as some courses on campus are only offered once per year.
Priority enrollment enables students to design their version of perfect schedule which in turn allows them to maximize their peak hours of productivity
and perform at their highest potential. Students are also able create a schedule that
lends itself well to part-time employment, campus activities and organizations, or
other social or extracurricular activities.
Considering a double major, or adding multiple minors? Priority enrollment privileges
also help students strategize and plan complex degree plans accordingly.
